Board certification is a voluntary process, which demonstrates a physician’s expertise in neurological surgery and/or subspecialty.

Primary Exam
Primary Examination(written exam) can be taken for self assessment, must be taken for credit and passed at least once

Practice Years
Practice years are those that take place after completing residency. During this time candidates should be logging 125 cases in preparation for the oral examination. Candidates who complete training on or after June 30, 2017 must submit a completed application no later than three years following the completion of residency training.
