Continuous Certification (CC) Requirement Waived for 2023
ABNS is committed to enhancing our Continuous Certification Platform and IT upgrades are underway. Therefore, all CC requirements need to be completed only once for the two-year period (2023-2024) instead of annually for diplomates with time-limited certification. This means that some Diplomates may have one eleven (11) year cycle (2014-2024), instead of the usual ten (10) year cycle. ATTENTION ABNS DIPLOMATES: Continuous Certification Requirements
A Diplomate with a time-limited certificate will forfeit their certification upon failing to timely complete all annual CC requirements for more than two years in any 10-year Certification period, upon failing to timely complete all annual CC requirements in any two consecutive years or failing to complete all delinquent CC requirements during the one-year grace period. The grace period is extended to Diplomates who have two non-consecutive years of incomplete requirements.
For example: If requirements are not completed in 2019, completed in 2020, and, again, not completed for 2021, Diplomates in this position have through 2022 to complete all delinquent CC requirements. A grace period may be extended under extraordinary circumstances. Please note that it is the responsibility of the Diplomate to keep the ABNS informed of current contact information.
