2021 Adaptive Learning Tool Module: Pediatric Neurological Surgery Core Principles without CME
This module of the ABNS learning tool consists of updated “core pediatric neurological surgery concepts” that are evidence based and supported by literature that has been introduced since initial certification. The intent is to update the learner on pediatric neurological surgery core principles. The goal is to educate and ensure that every ABNS/ABPNS diplomate has mastered the most recent, high-level, evidence-based literature on pediatric neurological surgery core principles so that they are a safer and more effective partner in their hospitals. The learning tool and corresponding modules was written and tested by ABNS & ABPNS directors. The format is familiar, easy to use and effective. The web-based learning tool can be accessed 24/7 in the comfort of a learners’ home or office. It can be started, stopped or repeated as desired.
Learning tool details
Learners who are both ABNS and ABPNS should complete the general and emergency tool plus the PEDS module annually to satisfy the requirements.
This module includes ONLY the pediatric neurological surgery core principles AND only satisfies the PEDS requirement for ABNS/ABPNS continuous certification (CC) and the requirement to recognized focus practice (RFP) in pediatric neurosurgery.
If you hold an ABNS certification, the general tool must be completed in order to satisfy the Part III requirement for CC.
There are 10 principles reviewed in this learning tool module.
